Ansible Tower, which helps enterprises to automate their mission-critical needs within their infrastructure. relies on PostgreSQL, an advanced open source RDBMS, for its data management requirements. In this talk, we will provide considerations and guidance for deploying a production PostgreSQL cluster with high-availability (HA) as a backend data service for Ansible Tower, including using trusted open source software to address disaster recovery, monitoring and high-availability requirements.
In this session, we will:
* Review and overview of Production Data Management Considerations
* Review the open source tools and extensions in the PostgreSQL ecosystem that support production deployment
* Review a Highly Available PostgreSQL Architecture for Single and Multi-Data Center Deployments
* Run through a failover scenario, and observe how Ansible Tower is still available
